Miami (OH) Redhawks vs Toledo Rockets predictions, odds and picks

The Miami Redhawks hit the road to battle the Toledo Rockets in the Glass Bowl in northwest Ohio. The Redhawks were expected to compete in the Mid-American Conference with NFL QB prospect Brett Gabbert, but the offense has had a lot of difficulty this season. It didn’t help that Miami faced three Power 4 teams to open the season. The Redhawks averaged just 8.3 PPG in their first three games before pulling off a 23-20 overtime win over UMass last weekend. However, this season has been a high in point production, which is a good sign for Miami. The defense has allowed 25.0 PPG in the past three games, which is a good sign for the Over.

As far as Toledo is concerned, the Overs have won in three of four games this season, including a dominant 41-17 win over Mississippi State on Sept. 14. The Rockets have cruised to 38 or more points in three of four games, while allowing 22.0 PPG in the past three outings. These two teams met twice last season, in a regular season battle, and in the MAC Championship game, with the total coming down in both meetings. However, the Rockets were more talented defensively. Miami should be able to build on last week’s momentum and score a bit against Toledo, and the Rockets should be able to do most of the heavy lifting to get to the finish line to get a score over.
