Bill Burr will host the post-election episode of Saturday Night Live, followed next week by pop star Charli XCX pulling double duty.
Burr will host the show on November 9 with Mk.gee as the musical guest. Charli XCX will host and perform as musical guest on November 16.
Dave Chappelle hosted the post-election show for the last two presidential cycles in 2016 and 2020.
Burr returns as host for the second time, having hosted in October 2020, raising eyebrows with his monologues that took on Covid deniers, cancel culture and LGBT Pride Month. He is currently touring with his live show Bill Burr.
Mk.gee, who recently released his debut album, Two Star & The Dream Police, makes his debut.
Charli XCX makes her hosting debut and third appearance as a musical guest, having performed in 2014 and 2022. This comes as her remix album, Brat and It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat, was released earlier this month.
Bowen Yang recently performed in a sketch about the pop star, commenting that the tribute was “awesome.”
But next up on November 2 is John Mulaney and musical guest Chappelle Rowan.
The 50th season began with Jean Smart hosting Nate Bargazzi, Ariana Grande and Michael Keaton. Musical guests include Jelly Roll, Coldplay, Stevie Nicks and Billie Eilish.
