The historic 50th season of Saturday Night Live kicked off on September 28, and NBC has announced the newest hosts and musical guests to complete its lineup. On November 9, Mk.gee will make his SNL debut in an episode hosted by comedian Bill Burr. The following week, Charli XCX will juggle her duties as host and musical guest, on November 16. The last time she presented the show was in 2022.
At the beginning of this year, Mike Gordon released his debut album, Mk.gee, Two Star & the Dream Police. The musician’s mix of 1980s pop, rock and R&B has slowly caught on since then and garnered stamps of approval from artists like Eric Clapton. His latest single “Rockman” was released two weeks ago.
Earlier this month, Charli XCX released her new Brat remix album, which is titled Brat and It’s Completely Different but also still Brat. The star-studded project includes Lorde, Kesha, Caroline Polachek, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande.
Season 50 of Saturday Night Live opened with Jelly Roll and Jean Smart, followed by appearances from Coldplay, Ariana Grande, Stevie Nicks and Billie Eilish. Next Saturday, the show will bring back John Mulaney as host and Chappelle Rowan will make her SNL debut.
