Mike Tyson appears to be taking his upcoming boxing match with Jake Paul very seriously. Iron Mike, who is almost 60 years old at this point, shows no signs of slowing down despite his age and has been working out like there is no tomorrow in anticipation of their brawl.
Tyson has always been muscular, thanks to all the exercises he did, whether it was bodyweight exercises or signature push-ups. One part of the body that he always paid special attention to was his neck.
Mike Tyson’s original neck exercise is brutal and, quite frankly, dangerous for most people. This involves rolling on the floor arching your back over and over again, which would put a lot of stress on most (untrained) people’s bodies.
It’s so difficult that Iron Mike has decided not to try it now. Instead, he opted for a machine-assisted exercise session, which, to be fair, seemed quite difficult. Just look at his bulging back muscles as he punches those pads!
If you’re wondering why boxers should train their necks, think about how often they get hit in the head during a match. A strong neck can help withstand some of the force and keep you on your feet. And Tyson’s neck looks ready for some action.
I feel sorry for Jake Paul for their next match. He was intrigued after watching the Netflix documentary, which made me even sadder to think Tyson was going to knock him out after two rounds.
Iron Mike is an incredibly strong guy with extensive boxing experience, so I’m betting on him winning. Given the workouts he’s been posting lately and the sheer power he’s putting forth, I’d be surprised if the problem kid lasts very long.
