Divorce or no divorce, L’Oréal Sarkisian has shown that she is the one and only true First Lady of Texas football. Her support for her ex-husband Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns has never wavered despite their breakup and her hectic fashion schedule. She’s been running everywhere lately during Paris Fashion Week and her collaboration with Balmain. Then Asher came to town in Austin and just three days later, it was her birthday! And guess who gave her the best birthday present?
L’Oréal Sarkeesian received a lot of love on her birthday on October 12. But for her, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns gave her the biggest gift she could ever hope for. In a new IG Story, she posted a video of Steve Sarkisian proudly wearing the Gold Cap Trophy after winning the Red River Rivalry. She captioned the story: “Best birthday present @Steve.sarkisian 🤘🏽”

Texas put on a beautiful performance as it defeated No. 18 Oklahoma in a 34-3 blowout. But it also healed the Texans’ wound from their past fall to the Sooners. When Steve Sarkisian joined Texas in 2021, he lost the Red River Rivalry game to the Sooners. They are back in 2022 and Oklahoma cruised to a 34-30 win over the Longhorns last season.

Loreal, who was married to Sarkisian for four years, was an important part of the Texas football program. The dynamics between them is such that while Steve Sarkisian is an attraction on the field, L’Oréal is an attraction off the field with her unique fashion sense that has made a lasting impression on the Texas HC. But this win is a true celebration as the Longhorns take the lead once again with their dominance.
The Texas Longhorns aren’t slowing down
One thing we learned from the Red River Rivalry game is that Texas is a reliable national championship contender. Immediately after their win over national champion Michigan in Week 2, talk of a national championship contender for Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns had already begun. Now, after four games, they remain unbeaten as they improve their record to 6-0.

There will be a change in the AP Poll rankings soon, but Texas is unlikely to budge from its No. 1 spot. The Longhorns are no longer just interested in winning, but their games as we have seen so far this season are about dominance. The most points they have given up is just 13 in their 35-13 win over Mississippi State in Week 5. As of Week 6, the win-loss record stands at 259-38. But it’s the next game against Kirby Smart and No. 5 Georgia that will be the real battle for the SEC.
