Jon Jones may have a bad reputation, a knack for getting into trouble, and may not be popular with fans at the moment. But deep down, he’s a good man. At least that’s what some fans think after a truly emotional moment in the pre-fight press conference for UFC 309 as he prepares to defend his title against Stipe Miocic on Saturday.
“I have a very special young man here tonight. My husband Kerr and I met earlier today and he was recently diagnosed with cancer. And Dana, I was wondering if he could get tickets to my fight?” Jones asked Dana White at the press conference, to which the CEO agreed. UFC immediately.
Jones desperately needed this to get the crowd on his side. After all, most of the crowd exploded when the boss said he wanted to fight the winner of the Jones-Music Aspinall bout. So much so that they started chanting Aspinall’s name, and had to be stopped by Bones.

Jones also promised Kerr he would give him a great display on Saturday, not that he needs any more motivation. After all, Jones (wrongly) thought Miocic was attacking him by talking about his kids, and was so angry about the same, he even refused to shake his opponent’s hand during the encounter. But that will have to wait until Saturday as fans were so happy with Jones’ kindness that they took to social media to praise him.
