Alabama football listed two defenders as game-time decisions based on an availability report 90 minutes before kickoff against Tennessee.
Keon Sabb, Alabama’s safety next to Malachi Moore, is listed as a game-time decision. It first appeared in Thursday’s availability report. The reason for its inclusion is unknown.
Bray Hubbard is listed as Sabb’s backup at free safety. Cameron Howard is another option as he backs up Moore at the other safety spot. Alabama could also turn to one of its “Husky” defenders like DeVonta Smith or Red Morgan to play free safety if Sabb can’t go.
Meanwhile, edge rusher Yhonzae Pierre is also listed as a playing-time decision. He missed the South Carolina game due to injury.
Pierre has been at the top of the rotation with the likes of Qua Russaw, Que Robinson, Keanu Koht and others.
Meanwhile, reserves Danielle Hill and Kayden Jones remain listed out for the game.
While the status of Sapp and Pierre is uncertain heading into the game, Kobe Prentiss and Kendrick Lue are set to return at receiver after missing some time due to injuries. They were listed as probable in the week’s original availability report on Wednesday, then Alabama removed them for Thursday’s report. Lue and Prentiss will combine forces with Ryan Williams and Jeremy Bernard at receiver.
No. 7 Alabama faces No. 11 Tennessee on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
