The SEC’s final availability report for the week for Alabama brought good news for Tennessee. Starting left tackle Lance Hurd and running back Cameron Seldon have been removed from the report and are scheduled to be available when the 11th-ranked Vols face the seventh-ranked Crimson Tide on Saturday at Neyland Stadium (3:30 p.m., ABC). Heard was listed as probable and Seldon as questionable in previous availability reports on Wednesday and Thursday, but the Vols made changes again in Friday’s report update.

The final availability report will be issued 90 minutes before kick-off.

Alabama listed two starting defensive backs as prospects on its side of the availability report Friday night.

Here is Tennessee’s availability report for Friday of Alabama week:

Hurd missed Kent State and Oklahoma’s games last month after suffering an ankle injury against N.C. State, but returned after the open date to play all 68 snaps on offense at Arkansas and was on the field for all 72 snaps on offense against Florida.

The 6-foot-6, 340-pound sophomore transfer from LSU, where the former five-star prospect was an SEC All-Freshman Team selection in 2023, started all four games for the Vols.

Seldon has played in just three games this season, missing the NC State and Kent State games due to injury and did not play against Florida. The sophomore finished his senior season at Tennessee with 55 yards on 13 carries in the Citrus Bowl, but underwent surgery for a shoulder injury suffered during spring ball and spent the rest of the offseason working his way back. Seldon played in the season opener and had seven carries for 47 yards and a kickoff return for 35 yards against Chattanooga.

He missed the next two games with unrelated shoulder injuries before playing seven snaps (two on offense and five on special teams) at Oklahoma and five snaps on special teams (he had a 24-yard punt return) at Arkansas.

The freshman Spielman missed the first two games before playing defense and special teams against Kent State and Oklahoma, but was sidelined for the third straight game.

Middle linebacker Bailey, who is in the seventh year of his final season of eligibility, will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in the first quarter against Florida, but the Vols named him one of five captains for the Alabama game.

Thomas, the Star’s projected starter for most of the offseason, suffered a season-ending knee injury during preseason camp in August.

The game in Knoxville is scheduled to begin Saturday at 3:30 PM on ABC.
